The HelpHER Upcycled bags initiative was launched on 18th July2018 in Chennai by the EcoKonnectors Trust. The trust aims at providing connects and solutions for sustainable living by education and motivation with its key focus on Solid waste management, conservation of resources and sensitive greening. HelpHER bag is an environment friendly social initiative by this trust.

A Mission
These HelpHER bags are upcycled bags from the upholstery materials in the sample catalogues that are discarded every year from the curtain and upholstery showrooms.
The materials are procured by the trust from the showrooms so that they don’t end up in the waste lands and are beautifully stitched into unique exquisite looking bags by the Self-Help groups and individual women whom the trust supports.

So each time you buy a HelpHER bag you Help a woman who stitched it and you just lent a hand in saving Mother Earth. Each bag just replaced a plastic bag and saved the waste cloth material from ending up in the dump yards. These bags are sold at Zero profit by the trust.
